Dodd Homers Twice, Drives in Seven vs North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Mason Dodd homered in both games at North Greenville as Belmont Abbey scored 11 runs in the first two games of the series. The Abbey is now 3-5 in Conference Carolinas play with a 9-12 overall record. North Greenville is 14-6 this season with a 5-2 league record.


Game one

North Greenville 18, Belmont Abbey 8

Mason Dodd went 3-for-5 with six RBI including a three-run home run in the fifth inning.

Ben Gobbel recorded two hits and two runs scored.

Zach Aehlert had a pinch-hit RBI single in the ninth.

Belmont Abbey starter Griffin Baker went 4.0 innings managing five strikeouts.


Game Two

North Greenville 13, Belmont Abbey 4

Dodd started off The Abbey's scoring with a solo home run in the fourth.

Richard DeLaCruz hit a bases-loaded double in the fifth.

Patrick Taylor registered a hit in the contest.

Belmont Abbey starter Sam High pitched 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.
