Crusaders Defeat the Bears 11-7

BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team captured an 11-7 win over the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears Tuesday at Abbey Yard. Freshman Zach Aehlert drove in four runs and hit his first collegiate home run to lead the Crusades to a 12-17 record. The Bears are now 11-16 on the year.


Jakob Rolly and Aehlert bot recorded multi-hit games.

Mason Dodd drove in two runs with a single in the second inning.

The Crusaders drew 11 walks in the game, four with the bases loaded.

Belmont Abbey drove in nine of their 11 runs in the contest.

Sam Luchansky threw 3.0 innings of relief striking out five.
