Rhame, Moran Lead Crusader Offense to Extras

BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team came back to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth inning to force extra innings against Catawba Tuesday night at Abbey Yard. The Crusaders (24-21) were outscored in the extra frame by Catawba (35-12).


Kale Rhame and Justin Moran both had two hits in the contest.

Jakob Rolly recorded the only RBI for The Abbey driving in a run in the fifth inning.

Belmont Abbey took advantage of two fielding errors in the ninth to score the tying run.

Blake Waldren pitched the first five innings not allowing a run while striking out four.

Jason White threw the last 3.2 innings striking out four.
