Men's Bowling Competes in Orange and Black Classic

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio - The Belmont Abbey men's bowling team competed with 25 other schools in this weekend's Black and Orange Tournament, hosted by Pikeville University.

After the first game, the Crusaders were in fifth place.  They moved to 12th place after the second game.  Belmont Abbey finished the first day in 23rd place.

Day two consisted of 16 Baker games, in which bowlers bowl two frames per game, resulting in a faster contest.  The Abbey worked its way back up to 16th place at one point, and in the last four games dropped 40 pins to finish in 19th place.

Junior Nahshon Bennett led the Crusaders, bowling 878 for five games.

The JV squad competed in the championship round of its tournament.
