Shawn Stacy Takes Third Place in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Belmont Abbey Men's Bowling team competed with 38 other teams in this Weekend's Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic.

On Saturday, each team played six games.  After two matches, The Abbey was in 18th place, and bounced up a spot by the end of the day.  For the day, freshman Shawn Stacey, with 1398 pins, was the leader for the Crusaders.  Sophomore Nashon Bennett was next with 1135 pins.

On Sunday, the Crusaders bowled 12 two-game sets of Baker games.  The Abbey went 9-13-1 on the day.  The team finished the tournament in 31st place.  Stacey made made the all-tournament team for the second time on four tournaments.

Belmont Abbey will be back in action on Wednesday, December 27, when it competes in the Roto Grip Classic in Allentown, PA.
