DUE WEST, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team earned a 1-1 tie at Erskine Saturday. James Delaney scored his first goal of the season for The Abbey (4-4-2, 3-1-2).
How It Happened
- Delaney scored in the 71st minute, driving a shot from just outside the box into the back of the net.
- Erskine answered in the 79th minute when Kacper Zak put in a free kick.
- Abbey keeper Ben Knust recorded seven saves in the contest.
- Fleet keeper Alex Pico had two saves.
- Erskine outshot the Crusaders 16-6.
The Crusaders will host North Greenville Wednesday, October 10 at 3:30 pm.
