Men's Volleyball Swept At Limestone, 3-0

The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Limestone this evening at the Timken Center. Set scores were 12-25, 25-21 and 12-25. Limestone improves to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

Tonight's match was the Abbey's first in ten days after the previous two scheduled matches were postponed. Tonight's match was originally scheduled for Tuesday night, but the winter weather caused a postponement until tonight.

Brennan Beyner led the Crusaders offense with nine kills with Dustin Buell adding five. Spencer Fournell and Jon Lowenhagen each had four. Derek Sullivan handed out 22 assists.

Defensively, libero Johnny Gomez led the way with six digs while Brandon Kimbrell totaled four.

At the net, Belmont Abbey totaled just four blocks as Evan Young and Kimbrell both had one block assist each, while Young and Fournell both had one solo block.
