All Six Men's Cross Country Runners Set Personal Best Times At Royals Challenge

All six Belmont Abbey men's cross country runners set personal best times in the eight kilometer race as the Crusaders men's cross country team finished 21st this morning at the Royals Challenge at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte.

In just his third collegiate race, Jonah Wilamowski clocked a time of 28:35, bettering his previous best by 55 seconds as he finished 91st. Classmate Patrick Lester also set a personal record as his time of 29:20 was good for 117th. His previous best came at the Warriors Invitational with a time of 30:32.

Wilamowski and Lester have been the Abbey's top two finishers in each of the Crusaders three races this season.

David Iverson finished 126th with a time of 29:39, a mark that is almost a minute and a half under his previous season best.

In another season best, Ryan Caulley finished 129th with a time of 29:42, 2:50 better than his finish at the Warriors Invitational.

Joe Thierfelder finished 162nd with a season-best time of 31:09, as did EJ Cerdeiras, whose time of 34:08 is exactly one minute better than his previous outing.
