Lynch Leads Crusader Men at Southeast Regional

WINGATE, N.C. -- Freshman Sam Lynch posted time of 36:48.68 over 10k Saturday to lead Belmont Abbey at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional. He finished 113th overall.

As a team, the Crusaders were 22nd in the field at 614 points. Fifth-ranked Mount Olive won the title with 76 points.

Thomas Eichorn finished 122nd in 37:26.07, while Daniel Grosch was two places behind in 37:37.67. Edward Genao ran in 38:32.67 (131st) with Rory Witkowski rounding out the scoring in 134th (38:56.63).

Dominic Forget (137th/39:15.15) and Justin Haggerty (140th/40:04.11) served as placeholders for the point standings.

The meet wrapped up the 2017 season.
