CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Freshman Christian Keghlian was the lead runner for the Belmont Abbey men's cross country team, who raced in today's Queens City Invite, hosted by Queens University. Belmont Abbey finished ahead of four Division II teams, including conference opponent Limestone. The Crusaders have now competed in three events this year.
How it Happened
- Keghlian was the first Crusader to cross the finish line, which he did in a time of 28:25, for a total of 123 points
- Another freshman, Daeton Byars, was next with a 29:11 race

The Abbey will next compete in Royals Cross Country Invitational, which will also be hosted by Queens, on Friday, October 12. The race will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Charlotte.
