Women's Tennis Falls 8-1 at Home

BELMONT, NC- Erskine took five of six matches in singles' competition, as the Flying Fleet defeated Belmont Abbey, 8-1, in a Conference Carolinas match, Friday afternoon at the Michael Reidy Tennis Center on the campus of Belmont Abbey College. Erskine improves to 10-3 overall, and 9-0 in Conference Carolinas, while Belmont Abbey falls to 5-12 overall, 2-4 in league play.

The Crusaders got its lone win in singles. At the #4 flight, Alex Weber battled back and forth in a competitive 9-8 (3) win over Mikaela Bennett, 9-8 (3)

Belmont Abbey was to host Emmanuel tomorrow, March 19, at 2:30 however, that game has been postponed due to incoming weather. Once a new date has been selected the change will be made to the calendar. The next match will be at the Michael Reidy Tennis Center on March 29 at 2:30 PM as the Crusaders host USC Aiken.
